facebook not working on android

Leads, Leads, Leads!

People are so addicted to Facebook that they spend hours a day telling the world what they are doing. Sometimes people share things that they have never done in their life. Why They want to look great, that’s why. However, since Facebook is part of the daily routine of many people, it can be frustrating for Facebook users to encounter a business error.

Many users complain that Facebook keeps stopping on their smartphones. Let’s take a look at some solutions that can resolve this error and let you cycle through endless video clips, pictures, and scenes that are random but very addictive.

Let’s get started.
1. Facebook crashes

This has happened in the past, so it’s not surprising. The Facebook and WhatsApp servers were heavily affected by the downtime. To check, go to Down Detector and search for Facebook.

A recent update to an app may have broken something and the social media giant made a fix to avoid downloading it from the Play Store.
Open the Play Store app on your Android phone and check if an update is available. If so, quickly update your app. Check if this fixes the Facebook problem. You will see an update instead of an opening if there is one.
3. Clear RAM

There are several ways to do this. You can close all running apps and then restart Facebook to see if it works. Some high-end smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S9 and later models have a dedicated option to clear RAM. You can find it under Settings> Device care.

On the same screen, you will find another option called RAM. Click on it to give the Facebook app a boost.

4. Reboot / restart strongly

Yes, but have you tried? Restarting your smartphone can solve a lot of problems and only take a few moments. If you don’t, do it right away and see if that helps. If you’ve tried it before, read on.

If that doesn’t work, you can also try the hard reboot trick. Try this when you can’t finish the app or there is little else you can do on your phone. Press and hold the power button to turn down the volume of your Android smartphone until it restarts.
5. Application conflict

I install many applications on my smartphone. Some apps often don’t work well with other apps causing the app to crash and other issues. Have you recently installed a new app? If so, it is likely that there is a conflict in the application. To check, try uninstalling any newly installed apps to see if a Facebook solution has stopped.
6. Restrict the use of data

One of the many features of your smartphone is data limitation. With this feature, you can control whether a Facebook app can only use mobile data or Wi-Fi to connect to the internet and use data. Maybe Facebook doesn’t have the necessary permissions? Open settings and go to Installed apps (or go to the apps list). Find and open Facebook.

Click on Limit data usage and make sure to switch between Wi-Fi and Mobile options.

7. Force stop the application

Some users report that sometimes when an app is malfunctioning and does not perform as expected, they cannot terminate the app. Sometimes Facebook stops responding and you can’t press the back button or do anything.

In such a case, you will have to force the application to terminate. To do this, open Settings and tap Apps. Depending on your type and model, things may be different. You are looking for a list of installed applications. Find and open Facebook on this list.

At the bottom of the screen, you will find the Power off option. Do it. Restart the app and see if it works again.

8. Check the battery saving mode

Most smartphones have a battery saving mode. The function of this feature is to monitor power hungry apps and close them if necessary. This often works as expected, but sometimes they act aggressively, forcing them to close the apps that you are actively using.

To check, open settings and open battery and performance. On your smartphone, it can be renamed differently. Click Select Applications.

Find and open Facebook. Make sure it is not set to aggressive mode. Try the “No Restrictions” setting to see if that fixes the problem. If so, you know what’s going on. Try different settings here and look for something you can live with.

If you use the app for a while, you will see the same error, go back to your Facebook app settings (like in point 7) and click on Clear data. Force the application to quit again.

You will now see two options. Clear all data and clear the cache. Click on Individual and check your Facebook app again now.
10. Reinstall the application

The application consists of several files stored in the internal memory of your smartphone once installed. The Facebook app is no different. Sometimes these files get damaged and can have many reasons. Uninstall Facebook and go back to Play Store to reinstall it. This will create new files from scratch and may overwrite damaged files.

Make sure to follow the steps outlined before uninstalling and reinstalling Facebook. This will erase all data and cached files from your phone’s internal memory. Otherwise you will install Facebook and the same old corrupted data will throw Facebook will not work anymore.
11. Reset application preferences

Resetting the application preferences will restore all settings to the default mode. However, you will not lose any application data. We’ve covered this topic in great detail, as you’ll also learn how to reset app preferences and why and when you need them.
12. Install the previous copy

The new version of Facebook that you downloaded may not be right for your smartphone. It’s entirely possible. The Play Store will not allow you to opt out, but there are other ways to do so. Look for the link below to download a previous version of Facebook on APKMirror.

Scroll lightly to look for older versions as well as unpublished alpha and beta versions if you want to test new features before they are officially released.

The first reason you have included this solution is that after a while the Play Store will automatically update Facebook when a new version arrives. This may or may not fix the problem permanently, but it’s worth a try.
